Oh I get it. Hmm looking back you'd think it would have been smart for Dems to fight for Miers, setting up the battle that conservatives had been hoping for, except this time they'd be the ones against the President. Oh well, live and learn.
The Senate Minority Leader was more positive about Miers than most of her own party was. I think this mostly was one for the Dems just to sit out and watch the uncommon spectacle of the GOP in disarray. Karl Rove must not be policing the troops well these days...
