Another Option

by PG

If you can't afford to hire someone to make you study, there's always drugs. "Studies show that more and more college students are abusing prescription ADHD drugs like Adderall and Ritalin to help them study. What do you think?"

My two favorite quotes:

From Steven Underhill, lawyer-- "Hell, I don't blame them. Back in law school, I had to take all kinds of drugs just to be able to appreciate art and music."

Dana Williams, Personal Shopper-- "When I was a kid, we didn't have drugs to help us study. If we wanted to get good grades, we had no choice but to stop getting drunk."

I have to stop getting drunk?

I avoided drugs, including alcohol, during my law school days that ended in 1954, primarily because I couldn't afford them. Since then, having focused on my studies and having had a successful 50 years of practice, I could afford the luxury of the two-martini lunch, eventually increased to three. Moral: Abstinence in law school; pay your dues; then reap during a luxurious career. Olive, onion or twist?

Hm. Does the same apply to giving up my gigolo?

Do your student loans support your gigolo? All I can think of now is Louis Prima's "Just a Gigolo". I'm available but I refuse to give up my amateur standing (or sitting or ......).

No, the gigolo is supported by disposable income. But once I give up my equivalents of wine and women, my only consolation will be the iPod.
